Dial 100 Movie Review: A Suspenseful Ride You Won’t Forget

If you’re in the mood for a suspense-packed thriller, “Dial 100” is a film that deserves a spot on your watchlist. Released in 2021, this Zee5 original captivates with its gripping storyline, intense performances, and unexpected twists. Directed by Rensil D’Silva, this film isn’t your average cat-and-mouse chase but a mind game with layers of emotional complexity.

Plot Overview

The story unfolds on a dark, rainy night, where a frantic call to the police control room sets the stage for an intense drama. Inspector Nikhil Sood (Manoj Bajpayee) answers the call, only to find himself trapped in a life-altering situation. On the other end is Seema Pallav (Neena Gupta), a distraught mother on a dangerous mission. With the clock ticking, Nikhil races against time to protect his family while uncovering shocking truths.

Cast and Performances

Manoj Bajpayee shines as a conflicted cop trying to balance duty and personal turmoil. Neena Gupta delivers a chilling performance, portraying a mother driven to the edge. Sakshi Tanwar adds emotional depth as Nikhil’s wife, torn between fear and resilience.

Language and Age Rating

The movie is primarily in Hindi with English subtitles available, making it accessible to a broader audience. It carries a UA rating, making it suitable for teenagers and adults but not for younger children.

What Makes Dial 100 Stand Out

  1. A Unique Setting: The story primarily unfolds in confined spaces like the control room and Nikhil’s home, creating an atmosphere of claustrophobic tension.
  2. Emotional Depth: It’s not just about suspense; the movie explores themes of grief, revenge, and moral dilemmas.
  3. Pacing and Twists: The first half grips you with its fast pace, while the second half focuses on the emotional core, leaving you contemplating long after the credits roll.

What Could Have Been Better

While the climax is emotional, some viewers might find it slightly predictable. Additionally, a few subplots could have been better fleshed out for greater impact.

Final Verdict: 4/5 Stars

Dial 100 is a must-watch for thriller enthusiasts who appreciate a good blend of suspense and emotional storytelling. With stellar performances and a gripping narrative, it’s a film that keeps you hooked till the end.

Should You Watch It?

If you love movies like “Mom” or “Drishyam,” you’ll find Dial 100 equally engaging. It’s proof that good storytelling doesn’t need flashy sets—just raw talent and a compelling script.
