The Plot
When city-based film industry couple Rohit (Lalit Prabhakar) and Isha (Vidula Chougule) buy a flat, they soon discover that the crafty agent Babubhai (Kanchan Pagare) has sold the very same property to the traditional Jadhav family. A court order forces both households to share the flat until a final verdict is reached — and what follows is a laugh-out-loud collision of two completely different worlds. The ultra-modern couple and the values-rooted village family must somehow coexist under one roof, and every moment of that uneasy cohabitation is gold. Writer-director Sameer Asha Patil wraps it all in just enough emotion to make you genuinely care about who gets to keep the flat.
Performances
Shashank Shende is the beating heart of Super Duperr. His portrayal of patriarch Namdev Jadhav is warm, beautifully timed, and completely irresistible — the kind of performance that stays with you. Nirmitee Sawant matches him effortlessly as Laxmi, bringing dignity and grace to a character who quietly steals every scene she’s in.
Lalit Prabhakar is breezy and charming as Rohit, while Vidula Chougule brings natural ease to Isha. Kushal Badrike is delightful as the younger Jadhav son, and the extended family ensemble — including young master Abir Surve and the ever-dependable Rohini Hattangady — fills the film with warmth and energy at every turn.
Technical Craft
Sanjay Jadhav’s cinematography is vibrant and well-suited to the film’s lively spirit. Abhijeet Deshpande’s editing is suitably sharp, keeping the comedy tight and the pace breezy throughout. Abhinay Jagtap’s background score adds real emotional punch in key moments, and the haldi song is the undeniable musical highlight — a joyous, foot-tapping sequence that the audience will love. Prashant Rane’s production design cleverly reflects the cultural contrast that drives the story.
