Prime Video is back with another boundary-pushing original, and this time, it’s painting the screen with bold, Rangeen strokes of drama, humor, and emotional unpredictability. Releasing on July 25, 2025, the series Rangeen brings a quirky blend of comedy and complex human emotions wrapped in a story of betrayal and revenge.

Directed by Kopal Naithani and Pranjal Dua, and written by Amardeep Galsin and Amir Rizvi, the show stars Viineet Kumar Siingh, Rajshri Deshpande, Taaruk Raina, and Sheeba Chaddha in a rollercoaster narrative that flips the concept of masculinity and heartbreak on its head.

Plot Preview: From Husband to Hustler

The Rangeen trailer introduces us to Adarsh, played by Viineet Kumar Siingh—an ordinary middle-aged man leading an uneventful life until his world crumbles after discovering his wife Naina’s (Rajshri Deshpande) infidelity. But instead of wallowing in sorrow, Adarsh takes an outrageously unexpected turn: he decides to become a gigolo. Yes, you read that right.

What follows is not just a revenge plot but a journey of self-discovery, awkward encounters, and hilariously complicated situations. The trailer strikes a perfect balance between witty banter and emotional undertones, giving viewers a glimpse into a show that’s not afraid to be bold and vulnerable all at once.

Performance Highlights: Viineet Kumar Siingh Steals the Show

Viineet Kumar Siingh’s portrayal of Adarsh feels refreshingly raw and layered. In a recent interview, he expressed how the character resonated with him due to its flawed yet deeply human nature. Rather than approaching Adarsh with melodrama, Siingh brings restraint and quiet intensity—adding depth to the comic chaos.

Rajshri Deshpande brings poise and complexity to her role as the unfaithful wife, while Sheeba Chaddha and Taaruk Raina add quirk, charm, and energy to the ensemble, rounding out what seems to be a well-cast show.

Tone & Style: Bold, Stylish, and Emotionally Charged

What truly stands out in the Rangeen trailer is its stylish direction. From vibrant color palettes to punchy dialogues, the show promises to be both visually rich and emotionally layered. The creators seem to have taken the comedy genre and infused it with empathy, modern-day masculinity themes, and a satirical lens on relationships.

The soundtrack, pacing, and editing in the trailer all scream “offbeat but accessible,” suggesting that Rangeen isn’t just about laughs—it’s about catharsis.

Why Rangeen Could Be a Game-Changer

With OTT platforms pushing the envelope, Rangeen is another step toward genre-defying Indian storytelling. Its mix of taboo topics like male gigolos, emotional vulnerability in men, and female-led betrayal packs a punch.

The trailer doesn’t shy away from showing how awkward, chaotic, and even liberating one man’s revenge plan can become when it turns into a full-blown profession—and emotional awakening.

Release Date and Platform

  • Streaming On: Prime Video
  • Premiere Date: July 25, 2025
  • Episodes: Yet to be announced
  • Production: Kabir Khan & Rajan Kapoor

Final Verdict:

Rangeen is not your usual revenge tale—it’s a vibrant, gutsy, and surprisingly heartfelt series that promises to explore masculinity, heartbreak, and redemption in a refreshingly comical way. If the trailer is anything to go by, this is one show you won’t want to miss.
