Iyengar Yoga Institute of New York: A Hub for Lifelong Learning and Community in Iyengar Yoga

Founded in 1987, the Iyengar Yoga Association of Greater New York (IYAGNY) is a dynamic non-profit educational organization dedicated to promoting Iyengar Yoga. Serving a diverse community of students across New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and beyond, IYAGNY is committed to inspiring and enabling progressive lifelong learning and practice in the art, science, and philosophy of Iyengar Yoga.

Our mission is to develop, nurture, and offer teaching of the highest standards, building and supporting a community of practitioners within our three-state charter region. Donations to IYAGNY support our dedicated Institute in the West Village, providing students and teachers with opportunities to deepen their studies. Contributions also enable us to offer individual scholarships for classes and special programming, as well as free community offerings such as Breast Health, Community Classes, LGBTQ+ sessions, People of Color classes, and Sutra Study.
