In an exclusive chat with Hyderabad Times, Dheeraj opened up about his decision to step into Tollywood, saying, “Telugu films were always on my radar, and now felt like the right time. I play the villain in the film. I’ve always heard that working in South Indian films is a unique experience, and I’m now witnessing it firsthand.”

But how does he feel about shedding his charming on-screen image for a darker role? “They call actors by their roles—‘villain’ for the bad guys and ‘hero’ for the good guys. It’s like being in a script all the time! It’s new for me.”

A Language Barrier or a New Challenge?

Dheeraj also admitted that working in a different language has been a challenge: “The language barrier did make me feel restricted at times, but I’m eager to immerse myself and improve my skills.”
