Netflix is set to ignite screens once again with Khakee: The Bengal Chapter, the highly anticipated follow-up to the breakout series Khakee: The Bihar Chapter. But the biggest question remains — Is this new installment ready to dethrone its predecessor?

Release Date, Age Rating & Language

Khakee: The Bengal Chapter is set to premiere on March 20, 2025, exclusively on Netflix. The series carries an Age Rating: 16+ due to intense violence, language, and mature themes. The primary language is Bengali with Hindi and English audio options available.

Plot Overview: Power, Politics, and Bloodshed

Set in the early 2000s, Khakee: The Bengal Chapter transports viewers to the crime-riddled streets of West Bengal, where corruption seeps into every corner. IPS Arjun Maitra, played by Jeet, is determined to restore law and order in a city where gangsters and politicians pull the strings. As power struggles unfold and secret alliances are exposed, every friend could be an enemy — but will Maitra rise or fall in this ruthless game?

Star-Studded Cast

This chapter boasts a power-packed ensemble featuring some of Bengali cinema’s biggest legends:

  • Jeet as IPS Arjun Maitra
  • Prosenjit Chatterjee as a corrupt politician
  • Saswata Chatterjee in a pivotal antagonist role
  • Parambrata Chatterjee as a journalist caught between truth and danger
  • Chitrangada Singh as Arjun Maitra’s wife
  • Ritwik Bhowmik, Pooja Chopra, and Shraddha Das in key supporting roles

Jeet’s digital debut on Netflix, paired with Prosenjit’s magnetic presence, makes this one of the most anticipated collaborations in Bengali entertainment history.

What Sets It Apart?

If the Bihar Chapter kept you glued to your screens, the Bengal Chapter promises to turn up the heat with more action, grittier storytelling, and unpredictable twists. The show will dive deeper into the underbelly of Kolkata’s crime syndicates, exploring themes of loyalty, betrayal, and survival in a city where power changes hands overnight.

What Worked:

✅ Jeet and Prosenjit’s electrifying chemistry
✅ High-octane action sequences
✅ Atmospheric visuals capturing Kolkata’s dark underworld
✅ Thrilling narrative with unexpected plot twists

What Didn’t Work:

❌ Some characters feel underdeveloped
❌ Pacing slows in the middle episodes

Final Verdict: ⭐️ 4.2/5

Khakee: The Bengal Chapter is a gripping crime thriller that blends action, politics, and human drama. While it may not surpass the raw intensity of the Bihar Chapter, it delivers enough punch to stand on its own. With a star-studded cast and an intriguing storyline, this series will leave audiences asking — Will there be another chapter?
