Love Oh Love arrives in theatres as one of the most refreshing romantic comedies of the year, bringing together debutant director Magesh Rajendran’s youthful vision with a genuinely inventive premise about love, ego, and self-discovery. Starring Pavish Narayan alongside exciting newcomer Naga Durga, the film takes the well-worn boy-meets-girl template and gives it a clever twist by having its central couple swap roles in their relationship. Backed by a talented ensemble including Selvaraghavan and K.S. Ravikumar, and set against foot-tapping music by FOXn, Love Oh Love has already been generating buzz for its youthful energy since its teaser launch, and the final film delivers on that promise as a warm, funny, and relatable watch for audiences of all ages.

Love Oh Love tells the story of Raghuvaran, a young man whose life spirals into debt and disarray after indulging his girlfriend Avantika’s extravagant demands, only for the tables to turn when she is challenged to walk in his shoes for four months. The film leans heavily into its comic sensibilities, delivering a steady stream of relatable, laugh-out-loud moments about the everyday friction of modern relationships, while its clever role-reversal conceit keeps things engaging throughout. Pavish Narayan anchors the film with a committed, effortless performance, and Naga Durga makes a striking debut with natural chemistry between the two leads. Director Magesh Rajendran shows a confident comic touch, FOXn’s music adds genuine flavour to key scenes, and the overall polish in production values elevates the experience.

Plot Summary

Love Oh Love follows Raghuvaran, a young man who falls head over heels for Avantika, indulging her every whim and expensive taste. His devotion leads him into deep financial debt, costs him his job, and eventually his own parents walk out on him after he hides the extent of his troubles. The story unfolds at a police station where Raghuvaran recounts his ordeal to a patient inspector, and when Avantika arrives at the same station, an unusual arrangement is struck: she must take over his role in the relationship for four months and experience firsthand the pressure he endured. What follows is an engaging, often hilarious journey as both characters are forced to confront the imbalance in their relationship and rediscover what it truly means to love someone as an equal.
