A human rights organization reported that 10 civilians in Balochistan were forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces, sparking concerns over a surge in enforced disappearances in the region. Among the victims, Eido Bakhsh and Suleman Baloch were taken from their homes by Pakistan’s Frontier Corps personnel in separate incidents. The organization condemned the abduction of Saeedullah by the Pakistan Army, leaving his family distressed as his whereabouts remain unknown.
Citing local sources, the rights group highlighted the enforced disappearance of Hafiz Nazir Ahmed Lehri, a government employee, from Quetta. Additionally, three civilians named Yaseen, Basheer, and Abdullah were reported missing after a house raid by the Pakistan Army in the Dasht area of Kech. Another civilian, Wajo Jan Muhammad, was abducted at gunpoint along with his vehicle by a Pakistan-backed death squad in Kech, according to the organization.
The rights body strongly criticized the forced disappearance of Nako Ameer, an elderly civilian, during a raid in the Talkan area of Tump region. Saleem Ahmed was also reportedly abducted by the Pakistan Army from Khuzdar district. Balochistan has witnessed a series of human rights violations, including enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings, perpetrated by Pakistani authorities in collaboration with local death squads.
