A tragic incident unfolded in Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh, where a 14-year-old girl was reportedly killed and her body concealed in a sack near the Kali river. The discovery of the decomposed body in the Mohammadabad Kotwali area has sparked shock and anger among locals. The victim’s father, Ajay Kumar Pal, filed a complaint on March 30, leading to the registration of a case against three suspects from the same village.
The accused, identified as Kuldeep, Rohit, and a minor, allegedly drugged the girl’s family members with a sedative-laced drink before abducting her. They also stole jewelry, including gold ornaments and cash. Following questioning, the suspects disclosed the location where the girl’s body had been hidden. Senior police officials, accompanied by a forensic team, conducted a thorough investigation at the site.
Authorities revealed that the initial assumption of the case being an elopement was dispelled after further inquiry. ASP Arun Kumar Singh disclosed that the accused juvenile confessed to the crime, stating that the girl’s insistence on marriage led to her tragic demise. The girl’s family expressed distress over the delayed police response to their initial complaint but acknowledged the subsequent intensified efforts in the investigation.
