An 18-year-old youth was fatally stabbed in northeast Delhi’s Bhajanpura area on the night between Monday and Tuesday. The incident took place near a temple, leading to a swift response from the police. Upon reaching the scene, the Delhi Police found that the victim had already been taken to Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital by family members.
The victim, identified as Mohammad Asif from Subhash Mohalla in Bhajanpura, succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the hospital. Recounting the events, the victim’s brother, Farooq, mentioned witnessing a confrontation involving his brother before the tragic stabbing. Despite efforts to save him, the victim could not be rescued.
Farooq expressed uncertainty about the attackers’ identities, emphasizing the family’s lack of knowledge regarding the assailants. Authorities initiated an investigation, with a forensic team gathering evidence at the scene. The deceased’s body was transferred to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital for a post-mortem examination. A case has been registered, and multiple police teams are actively pursuing the suspects for swift apprehension.
