Mananchaya Sawangkaew and Mei Yamaguchi also advanced in the singles draw. However, India’s Prarthana Thombare and Alevtina Ibragimova exited in the doubles quarter-finals.
The day started with Darja Semenistaja overcoming a tough challenge from Japan’s Mai Hontama, eventually winning 6-4, 7-6 (7-3). Mei Yamaguchi triumphed in a hard-fought match against Yasmine Kabbaj, winning 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) in a three-set thriller. Leolia Jeanjean defeated Miho Kuramochi in straight sets, while Mananchaya Sawangkaew dominated Misaki Matsuda with a 6-4, 6-1 victory.
In doubles, Prarthana Thombare and Alevtina Ibragimova fell to Polina Iatcenko and Elena Pridankina, who won 6-1, 6-1. The day concluded with Darja Semenistaja and Zuzanna Pawlikowska losing to Hiroko Kuwata and Park So-hyun, who progressed with a 6-0, 6-4 win.
