A 25-year-old married woman, Archana Kumari, was discovered deceased under suspicious circumstances in Nandodih village, Jharkhand’s Koderma district, causing alarm in the locality. Archana, married to Santosh Kumar Pandit in 2018, had two daughters, but recent months saw marital discord, according to her family. Allegations of murder have been raised against her in-laws by Archana’s family, who claim she was facing harassment at her matrimonial home.
Archana’s brother, Anil Pandit, accused her in-laws of mistreatment despite efforts to resolve disputes amicably. Following a call from Archana’s sister-in-law about her worsening condition, her relatives found her lifeless with visible neck marks, suggesting possible strangulation. Allegations were made that the body was moved to the bathroom to conceal evidence, prompting Archana’s husband and his family members to flee.
Upon notification, Jainagar police, led by in-charge Vikas Kumar, arrived at the scene, securing the body for a post-mortem examination at Sadar Hospital. Authorities are investigating all angles, awaiting the post-mortem report to determine the cause of death. The victim’s family demands the immediate arrest of the accused and strict action in response.
