Aadya Baheti and Rajdeep Biswas emerged victorious in the U-11 girls’ and boys’ singles categories at the WTT Youth Contender 2026 in Vadodara. Aadya defeated Sakshya Santosh in straight sets, while Rajdeep triumphed over Sharvil Karambelkar in a competitive final.
The tournament, organized by the Table Tennis Association of Baroda and supported by UTT, features 226 players competing in various age groups from U-11 to U-19. Vivaan Dave secured a spot in the U-15 boys’ quarterfinals by defeating Rishaan Chattopadhyay, setting up a match against Rudra Jena.
Ankolika Chakraborty, Naisha Rewaskar, and Tanishka Kalbhairav advanced to the U-15 girls’ singles quarterfinals with convincing victories. The top seeds in the U-19 categories also progressed smoothly to the quarterfinal stage.
Defending champion Syndrela Das, along with top seeds Divyanshi Bhowmick and Japan’s Miku Matsushima, started their U-19 singles campaign with strong performances. Syndrela, Divyanshi, and Miku secured wins in their respective groups, showcasing their dominance in the competition.
In the U-17 category, Syndrela Das and Rupam Sardar clinched the girls’ and boys’ singles titles, while Divija Paul and Dev Pranav Bhat were crowned champions in the U-13 age group.
