Aashirvad Cinemas, a renowned production house known for Malayalam blockbusters, has cautioned the public about fraudulent casting and audition messages circulating in its name. The production house clarified that it had not authorized any casting calls, auditions, or recruitment activities and emphasized that all official announcements would be made through verified channels. A formal complaint has been lodged, and an investigation is underway to address this issue.
The warning from Aashirvad Cinemas comes amidst a trend where various production houses, including Mythri Movie Makers and Raaj Kamal Films International, have faced similar challenges with fake casting agents. Mythri Movie Makers, for instance, urged the public to only trust casting announcements made through their official handle and to report any suspicious activity. Similarly, Raaj Kamal Films International emphasized that they had not hired any casting agents for their projects and warned against unauthorized use of their name.
Neelam Productions, led by director and producer Pa Ranjith, also joined the chorus by cautioning actors to be wary of fake audition calls. The production house advised individuals to rely only on official social media handles for casting calls and audition alerts to avoid falling victim to fraudulent schemes. This trend highlights the importance of vigilance in the entertainment industry to combat the proliferation of fake casting communications.
