Trinamool Congress All-India General Secretary, Abhishek Banerjee, expressed disapproval of the BJP’s political tactics in West Bengal. Banerjee highlighted incidents of violence during a Ram Navami procession in Murshidabad district following administrative changes by the Election Commission.

He criticized the BJP’s approach as imposing unwanted changes on Bengal and raised concerns about the timing and intent behind the administrative reshuffling. Banerjee emphasized the importance of preserving Bengal’s cultural identity and communal harmony.

According to Banerjee, West Bengal has a history of celebrating various festivals together peacefully, promoting unity in diversity. He questioned the motives behind recent disruptions in the state and called for safeguarding the social fabric from divisive politics.
