Abhishek Sharma, representing Sunrisers Hyderabad, accepted the penalty and the associated sanctions imposed by the IPL authorities. He acknowledged the Level 1 offence under Article 2.3 and agreed with the decision made by the Match Referee, which is final for such breaches.
During the game, Abhishek Sharma showcased an impressive performance by scoring 48 runs off 21 balls, including four sixes and as many boundaries. He also made history by becoming the first Indian player to hit 100 sixes in the IPL for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Sunrisers Hyderabad demonstrated a dominant display, securing a convincing 65-run victory over Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens. They posted a formidable total of 226 for 8 and then effectively restricted KKR to 161 with disciplined bowling.
