Actor Anant Joshi, the latest addition to the popular series ‘Gullak’, revealed that he thrives on nervous energy, which influences his acting. During the promotion of the show’s fifth season, Joshi expressed his enthusiasm for being welcomed warmly by the team upon his arrival on set.
Joshi admitted, “Nervous energy is inherent to me. I feel nervous before every scene or role, and I’ve come to embrace this trait. Stepping onto the set was thrilling, especially since I had watched the previous four seasons as an audience member. It felt surreal to now be a part of the show, standing in the same house where I had seen my parents’ banter on TV.”
Reflecting on his experience, Joshi shared, “Starting with a dream, witnessing others pursue it, and then living that dream myself evoked a familiar sense of excitement. Working alongside a group of actors who delve deep into their characters felt like finding my tribe. The camaraderie and shared process made it a homely environment for me.”
Despite his professional background, Joshi found the atmosphere on set to be familial and enjoyable. He emphasized, “Being part of the Mishra family, I felt a strong sense of belonging. Rather than nervousness or apprehension, I was filled with a positive anticipation of joining the Mishras.”
