Actor Jisshu Sengupta discussed his move to Bollywood from the Bengali film industry, emphasizing the support he received from renowned directors like Pradeep Sarkar, Anurag Basu, Sujoy Ghosh, and Sujit Sarkar. He highlighted that his prior collaborations with these directors facilitated his entry into Hindi cinema. Sengupta shared a pragmatic view on industry struggles, considering them as part of life rather than hardships.
He expressed his perspective, stating that everyday experiences like traveling in an auto-rickshaw do not equate to struggle for him. Sengupta credited his manager for encouraging him to explore opportunities outside Bengal, acknowledging her role in pushing him out of his comfort zone. With a career spanning over two decades in Bengali cinema, Sengupta is known for his diverse roles and strong on-screen presence.
Preparing for his upcoming film “Bhoot Bangla,” Sengupta will be seen alongside Akshay Kumar, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, and the late veteran actor Asrani.
