Actress Ankita Bhargava recently shared a concerning incident on social media where her elderly parents were almost victims of a scam by individuals posing as Crime Branch officers from Gujarat. The actress emphasized the need for families, especially those with senior citizens, to remain vigilant. Ankita detailed how the scammers tried to obtain a statement from her father under false pretenses, highlighting the importance of caution in such situations.

The actress described how the scammers appeared calm, polite, and confident, even providing fake ID cards to gain trust. However, Ankita’s instincts alerted her to the suspicious nature of the situation, preventing her father from signing a document he couldn’t understand. She stressed the vulnerability of senior citizens to manipulation through authority and urgency, urging families to be cautious and verify any documents before signing.

Ankita shared her experience to raise awareness about the tactics scammers use to deceive elderly individuals, emphasizing the significance of ensuring that senior citizens can comprehend and verify any documents presented to them. She advised against blindly signing handwritten papers, relying solely on verbal explanations, or succumbing to pressure from individuals in official attire. The actress highlighted the importance of involving family members, requesting printed documents, and seeking verification from relevant authorities in such circumstances.
