Actress Bhumika Chawla Reflects on 28-Year Journey in the Film Industry

Actress Bhumika Chawla, known for her roles in movies like “Tere Naam” and “M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story,” recently delved into memories from 28 years ago. She shared throwback photos from her early days captured by photographer Dabboo Ratnani on Instagram. Reflecting on her career, she mentioned the various roles she has portrayed in life, including daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend.

Bhumika Chawla, originally named Rachna Chawla and born in New Delhi, began her acting journey with the 2000 film “Yuvakudu.” She gained popularity with her Bollywood debut in the Salman Khan-starrer “Tere Naam” in 2003, a remake of the Tamil film “Sethu.” The movie, considered a cult classic, revolves around the love story of Radhe Mohan, a college student with a temper, and Nirjara, a shy girl.

In her career, Bhumika has appeared in various successful films such as “Jai Chiranjeeva,” “Sillunu Oru Kaadhal,” “Badri,” “Kushi,” “Okkadu,” “Simhadri,” and “Middle Class Abbayi.” Her most recent appearance was in the 2025 Tamil psychological thriller “School,” directed by R. K. Vidyadharan and featuring Yogi Babu and K. S. Ravikumar.
