Actress Minissha Lamba recently marked 21 years since her debut film “Yahaan” was released. She expressed gratitude to filmmaker Shoojit Sircar for kickstarting her acting career with this opportunity. Lamba shared a heartfelt note on social media, reminiscing about the memories associated with the film.
In her post, Minissha Lamba thanked Shoojit Sircar for casting her as Adaa in the 2005 film “Yahaan.” She also shared a throwback video from the movie, which starred Jimmy Sheirgill and Yashpal Sharma alongside her. The film, released on July 29, 2005, received the Special Jury Prize at the 7th Ocean’s Cinefan Film Festival.
Apart from “Yahaan,” Minissha Lamba has been part of various notable films like “Corporate,” “Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd.,” “Bachna Ae Haseeno,” and “Bheja Fry 2.” She gained recognition for her role in Sanjay Gadhvi’s “Kidnap” and also appeared in Shyam Benegal’s acclaimed film “Well Done Abba.” Lamba took a break from acting before participating in “Bigg Boss 8,” where she was a contestant.
In one of her recent film projects, “Double Di Trouble,” Minissha Lamba acted alongside veteran actor Dharmendra, as well as Gippy Grewal, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Kulraj Randhawa, and Poonam Dhillon.
