Actress Sanam Shetty has expressed dissatisfaction with a poster for director Venky Atluri’s upcoming movie, ‘Vishwanath & Sons’, which features actors Suriya and Mamitha Baiju but excludes Mamitha Baiju’s name. The first single from the film, ‘Pattampoochi’, was recently released by the makers, with the poster mentioning Suriya but not the lead heroine, Mamitha Baiju.
Sanam Shetty highlighted this gender disparity by quoting a tweet from Mamitha Baiju, questioning why the lead heroine’s name was omitted from the poster when all other main names were included. She emphasized the importance of giving equal credit to female artists in the cinema industry, regardless of their experience level.
The song link was shared by actor Suriya on his social media platforms, expressing the significance of the first single from ‘Vishwanath & Sons’, a film scheduled for a global release on August 14 this year.
