Actress Shweta Tiwari responded to the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan by sharing a video of CJP leader Abhijeet Dipke on her Instagram Stories. In the video, Dipke mentioned that with Pradhan’s resignation, they could demand the resignation of any under-performing cabinet member.
Shweta Tiwari questioned when the Punjab Education Minister would resign and criticized the Cockroach Janta Party for not protesting there. Dharmendra Pradhan stepped down after student protests and public movements in Delhi, triggered by exam irregularities like the NEET-UG paper leak.
Following a harsh police crackdown on protestors at Jantar Mantar on July 20, Pradhan’s resignation was demanded. The incident sparked nationwide outrage, leading to massive support for the students. The protests expanded from Delhi to major cities and later to smaller towns.
The demonstrations escalated after Sonam Wangchuk was forcibly taken from the protest site at Jantar Mantar on July 18, following a 21-day hunger strike. Wangchuk’s hunger strike demanded Pradhan’s resignation over alleged exam irregularities, with authorities moving him to a hospital due to health concerns and a court order.
