Actress Sonam Bajwa has landed a role opposite Diljit Dosanjh in the highly anticipated war drama, “Border 2”. Sonam expressed her love for the original movie “Border”, citing it as one of her favorites and a source of cherished childhood memories. She feels honored to be part of a film with such significance.
Sharing insights into her involvement in “Border 2”, Sonam mentioned that director Anurag Singh, known for “Super Singh”, approached her for the project. She highlighted the special bond she shares with Diljit, who also stars in both films. Sonam plays the character Manjeet in the movie, a Punjabi woman married to Diljit’s character, Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon.
In her role as Manjeet, Sonam expressed her excitement, stating that being chosen for the character by Anurag Singh was a meaningful gesture. The film, presented by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series in collaboration with J.P. Dutta’s J.P. Films and supported by various producers, features a star-studded cast including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and others. “Border 2” is set to hit theaters on January 23, 2026.
