Television actress Urvashi Dholakia has expressed worry about ongoing late-night construction work in Mumbai’s Juhu area, labeling it a disturbance for residents. She shared an open letter on social media, pointing out the noise and disruption caused by construction activities at a property linked to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producer Asit Kumar Modi. Dholakia emphasized the impact on residents’ sleep, health, and well-being due to the noise from machinery and materials movement continuing late into the night.
The actress highlighted that the construction work, owned by Mr. Asit Modi and his family, has been surpassing permissible hours, disregarding local regulations for construction in residential zones. She stressed that the constant disturbance is affecting families with children, the elderly, and working individuals in the area. Dholakia urged authorities and builders to strictly follow construction time limits, reduce noise pollution during late hours, and respect residents’ right to peace and rest.
In her open letter, Urvashi Dholakia warned of escalating the issue through formal complaints to municipal and environmental authorities if the situation persists. She recounted her unsuccessful attempts to seek police intervention during the early hours of the morning, expressing disappointment in the system’s responsiveness. The actress called for prompt action and a more responsible approach from the concerned parties to address the late-night construction concerns in Juhu.
