Adani Airport Holdings has collaborated with Blinkit to introduce app-based quick commerce delivery services at Mumbai Airport. This new service, currently available at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport’s Terminal 2 for domestic departures, enables passengers to conveniently order essential items within the terminal. Travelers can use the Blinkit app to request chargers, snacks, books, and personal care products, receiving quick deliveries inside the airport.

The delivery service covers various areas within the airport, including boarding gates, lounges, food courts, and select partner outlets. Trained on-ground staff manage the deliveries to ensure a seamless and secure process that does not disrupt airport operations or passenger schedules. Additionally, approved in-terminal inventory allows for the provision of permissible liquid items like packaged water, juices, and cold drinks, adhering to security regulations.

According to an AAHL spokesperson, this initiative aims to enhance the overall airport experience by integrating digital convenience directly into the terminal. By offering app-based services, passengers can optimize their time and elevate the service quality, contributing to the development of more responsive and passenger-focused airports. For Blinkit, this partnership presents an opportunity to tap into a high-demand, time-sensitive environment, expanding its user base and reach.

The collaboration not only improves passenger comfort but also boosts non-aeronautical revenue for AAHL through digital retail initiatives. This service introduces a new level of accessibility and affordability to airport retail, providing travelers with more options without the usual constraints of time and location. With the service catering to the significant passenger traffic at Terminal 2, it addresses a common challenge faced by travelers who may forget essentials or lack time for pre-boarding shopping.

This endeavor aligns with the trend of integrating technology with travel to offer faster and more accessible services within airports, reflecting a broader shift towards enhancing the airport experience through digital solutions.
