Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) achieved a milestone by successfully distributing 1 crore electricity smart meters to discoms in India. The company, a leading Advanced Metering Infrastructure Service Provider, is set to deliver another 1 crore meters in the upcoming financial year. With a daily installation rate of 25,000, AESL leads the industry in meter deployment.
Kandarp Patel, CEO of Adani Energy Solutions Ltd, emphasized the importance of smart meters in empowering consumers with real-time usage data and enhancing grid reliability. These meters play a crucial role in reducing losses and promoting efficient energy management, contributing to India’s digital energy transition. AESL’s achievement precedes its target of reaching 1 crore installations by March 31, 2026.

Under the Government of India’s Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), AESL’s efforts align with India’s goal of replacing 25 crore conventional meters with advanced smart meters. This initiative aims to modernize the power distribution landscape and support the nationwide smart metering rollout.
