Sagar Adani, Executive Director of Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), emphasized the need for swift electrification to enhance energy security and boost economic growth. He highlighted that integrating renewables with storage is crucial for ensuring reliable, affordable, and continuous clean power. Adani stressed that electrification is now a necessity rather than an option for countries aiming for resilient growth and enhanced energy independence.
Renewable energy, when combined with storage solutions like Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Pumped Storage Projects (PSPs), becomes dependable, cost-effective, and available 24/7. Adani Green is actively working towards achieving 50 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030, with a focus on the world’s largest renewable energy facility in Khavda, Gujarat, where clean energy is being integrated with large-scale storage technologies.
The Adani Green Energy Dialogue, held in collaboration with the Energy Transitions Commission (ETC) during London Climate Action Week at the Science Museum, brought together policymakers, investors, business leaders, and climate experts. The event aimed to address the policy, investment, and infrastructure requirements essential for accelerating the transition to clean energy.
