Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani recently visited Godda in Jharkhand to oversee the 1,600 MW ultra-supercritical thermal power plant, which involved an investment exceeding Rs 16,000 crore. This project, situated in a tribal area, has significantly boosted job opportunities and enhanced rail connectivity in the region.
During his trip, Adani also inspected a forthcoming 2,400 MW ultra-supercritical power project in Pirpainti near Bhagalpur, Bihar, with an investment of over Rs 27,000 crore. This initiative, slated for completion within the next four to five years, aims to cater to the escalating industrial and urban power needs in the state.
With these endeavors, the Adani Group has solidified its position as a prominent private infrastructure investor in Jharkhand and Bihar, regions historically lacking substantial industrial investments. Adani interacted with the workforce at the Godda plant, emphasizing a people-centric approach as the Group expands its ventures.
Adani’s visit also included offering prayers at the Baba Baidyanath Temple in Deoghar, where he expressed the significance of service as devotion. Reflecting on his experience, he shared insights on the temple’s spiritual essence and the virtues it embodies.
