In a move to revamp 11 industrial training institutes (ITIs) in Kutch with industry-focused training, Adani Skills & Education (ASE) has signed two MoUs with the Gujarat government. The initiative by ASE, the Adani Group’s talent development platform, aims to boost local employment, curb talent migration, and nurture skilled workforce for renewable energy, logistics, and infrastructure sectors.
The event witnessed the presence of Cabinet Minister Kunvarjibhai Bavaliya, Minister Kantilal Amrutiya, and officials from both sides, emphasizing the significance of industry-aligned skilling for a self-reliant workforce. Bavaliya stressed the need for global-standard technical training to empower youth under the Skill India mission, highlighting skilled youth as the backbone of a prosperous nation.
Encouraging students to seize technical education opportunities for meaningful careers, Amrutiya emphasized the pivotal role of skilled youth in India’s economic growth and national development. The initiative’s goal is to retain talent locally, bolstering Kutch’s skilled workforce to drive the region’s growth.
Adani Skills & Education’s strategy to transform ITIs, known as the “Gujarat Model,” is gaining recognition nationwide for its 10-point agenda. CEO Robin Bhowmik expressed ASE’s commitment to Kutch’s long-term skilling vision, aiming to cultivate a proficient, industry-ready workforce through collaborations with the government and ITIs in the region.
Through its ‘Skill2Employ’ approach, ASE integrates classroom learning with practical exposure to create a productive workforce from day one. By leveraging simulations, Centres of Excellence (CoEs), and globally benchmarked curricula, ASE strives to develop skilled professionals capable of contributing across various sectors.
