Russia’s rising star Mirra Andreeva will compete against Canada’s Victoria Mboko in the Adelaide International final, featuring the top two highest-ranked teenagers in women’s tennis. Andreeva, ranked 8th globally and the tournament’s third seed, secured her spot in the final by defeating Diana Shnaider 6-3, 6-2 in the semifinals with a dominant display. She remains unbeaten in sets at the Adelaide tournament.

The final will see Andreeva, 18, up against 17th-ranked Mboko, 19, in their first professional encounter. Andreeva has showcased strong serving skills throughout the event, having been broken only once in each of her matches. She expressed nerves before her semifinal but emphasized sticking to her game plan and decision-making on the court.

Andreeva aims to claim her fourth WTA Tour singles title in the final, solidifying her position as a top talent in women’s tennis. Meanwhile, Mboko eyes her third WTA Tour singles crown, looking to cap off a successful week in Adelaide. Both teenagers represent a new wave of talent in the women’s singles circuit.
