Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defence stated that Afghan forces carried out airstrikes against suspected ISIS-linked sites in Pakistan. The attacks targeted ISIS facilities in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces. The Ministry mentioned that the airstrikes were aimed at ISIS centers involved in planning attacks in Afghanistan and targeting Afghan civilians.

The Afghan Air Force conducted successful airstrikes on ISIS centers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Chitral provinces. These centers were reportedly planning destructive activities and attacks against civilians. The Ministry reported heavy casualties and financial losses on ISIS and its supporters due to the precision strikes, emphasizing no civilian casualties were caused.

Following civilian casualties in Pakistani military airstrikes in Afghan provinces, Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defence affirmed its commitment to targeting any location threatening Afghanistan’s security. The recent strikes were in response to the deaths and injuries of civilians in Pakistani airstrikes. The Afghan Foreign Ministry strongly protested against the violation of Afghanistan’s airspace and the bombing of civilian homes by Pakistan.
