Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defence announced precise and coordinated aerial operations against multiple Pakistani military installations. The strikes targeted major facilities like the Nur Khan Airbase, the 12th Division headquarters in Quetta, and the Khwazai Camp. Several strategic command centers across Pakistan were also hit during the operation.
The Afghan defence ministry stated that the strikes caused significant damage to the intended targets. These actions were in response to recent aerial incursions by the Pakistani military into Afghan airspace. Any further breach or aggression by Pakistan would lead to a swift and decisive response, the ministry warned.
Following renewed cross-border clashes, Pakistan declared “open war” on the Afghan Taliban administration. In retaliation, Pakistan conducted airstrikes in Kabul and Kandahar. The Afghan statement reiterated warnings against any violations of Afghan airspace or acts of aggression by Pakistan, promising a proportionate response.
In a further escalation, the Taliban claimed retaliatory attacks resulting in the reported deaths of 32 Pakistani soldiers. The operations were carried out by various Afghan corps, leading to fatalities, injuries to Pakistani soldiers, and the destruction of military outposts. Additionally, Afghanistan shot down two drones belonging to Pakistan’s military regime.
The Ministry of Defence’s deputy spokesperson mentioned offensive operations using advanced equipment against the enemy in several provinces. The operations were led by different Afghan corps, targeting the enemy forces in various regions.
