AIADMK General Secretary and Tamil Nadu’s Leader of Opposition, Edappadi K. Palaniswami, has called for a thorough investigation into alleged irregularities in the recruitment of Assistant Professors by the Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB). Palaniswami emphasized the need for an independent inquiry and urged the state government to halt the appointment process until the investigation is concluded.
Expressing serious concerns about the transparency of the selection process, Palaniswami highlighted discrepancies in the evaluation process, particularly in the marking of the descriptive examination. He cited cases where candidates scoring high in the objective paper received unexpectedly low marks in the descriptive section, raising questions about the fairness and consistency of the assessment.
Demanding immediate intervention by the state government to address the reported discrepancies, Palaniswami stressed the importance of protecting the interests of deserving candidates and restoring public trust in the recruitment system. He insisted that only a fair and impartial investigation could rectify the situation and ensure justice for all candidates involved.
