The All India Football Federation has initiated the bidding process for the Request for Proposal concerning Commercial Rights linked to various competitions and properties it owns. Bids have been received for the Indian Super League (ISL), Federation Cup (formerly Super Cup), the Indian Women’s League (IWL), and IWL 2. Three organizations, including FanCode, Genius Sports, and Capri Sports, have submitted bids for different commercial rights categories.
The submitted bids are for a 15-year term with a provision for a possible five-year extension, granting the bidder the right of first refusal. Additionally, the proposal outlines a yearly five per cent increase in value throughout the agreement’s duration. The bid evaluation report is scheduled to be presented to the AIFF Executive Committee during its meeting on Sunday, March 29, 2026, with a decision expected on the same day.
Currently, the Indian Super League (ISL) and Indian Football League matches are underway at various venues nationwide. These matches are being broadcast live on DD Sports and Sony Sports Network, with streaming available on Waves and Sony LIV platforms. The bidding process follows the expiration of AIFF’s long-term deal with Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), a Reliance-owned company, which had the commercial rights for the ISL.
The Master Right Agreement (MRA) signed in 2010 ensured that AIFF received ₹50 crore annually from FSDL, which expired on December 8. Due to the inability of AIFF and FSDL to reach an agreement for extension, the commencement of the Indian Super League was delayed for several months until the 2025-26 season began last month following a Supreme Court order.
