The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) reported that an air ambulance traveling from Ranchi to Delhi crashed in Kasaria Panchayat of Chatra district, Jharkhand. The aircraft, a Beechcraft King Air (BE9L) medical charter flight operated by Redbird Airways, had seven individuals on board, including a patient, doctor, paramedic, attendants, pilot, and co-pilot.

The flight took off from Ranchi at 7:07 pm and lost contact around 7:34 pm near Palamu in northwestern Jharkhand. The expected landing time in Delhi was 10 pm, but the aircraft lost contact with Air Traffic Control at 7:34 pm. Rescue operations were ongoing as more details awaited confirmation.

The District Administration’s search-and-rescue team is on-site, and the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) team is being sent for further investigation. The DGCA mentioned that the aircraft lost communication and radar contact with Kolkata approximately 100 nautical miles southeast of Varanasi. More information is expected to be shared as the investigation progresses.
