An Air India flight from Delhi to Bengaluru faced a tail strike upon landing at Bengaluru International Airport. The incident involved flight AI2651 carrying 179 passengers, leading to the aircraft being grounded for inspection. Fortunately, all passengers and crew safely disembarked after the safe landing.
The airline confirmed that the grounded aircraft is undergoing a detailed inspection following the tail strike incident. Consequently, the return flight AI2652 from Bengaluru to Delhi had to be canceled. Air India is working on alternative arrangements to assist affected passengers promptly.
Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu provided an update on the investigation into the crash of Air India Flight AI 171 in Ahmedabad, which resulted in 260 fatalities. He mentioned that the investigation is nearing completion and may conclude within a month. Naidu emphasized the importance of transparency in the probe, especially considering the presence of foreign nationals on the ill-fated flight.
