Actor Ajith Kumar’s venture into the racing world will be documented in a film set to hit theaters on May 1 next year, coinciding with his birthday. Renowned Tamil director A L Vijay is helming this 90-minute docu-film aimed at motivating young individuals to chase their aspirations. The initiative also seeks to promote motorsport in India, challenging the perception of it being a sport only for the affluent.
Sources revealed that the docu-film will showcase not just the thrilling races in Malaysia but also behind-the-scenes moments like strategy discussions, team interactions, and Ajith’s training regimen. Director Vijay plans to capture upcoming races in Abu Dhabi and Dubai for inclusion in the film. The documentary will be split into two halves, each running for 45 minutes, and is slated for release on OTT platforms as well, albeit at a later date.
Earlier this year, Ajith Kumar was honored with the ‘Gentleman Driver of the Year 2025’ award in Venice, Italy, a prestigious accolade presented by SRO Motorsports Group. This recognition came as Ajith Kumar fulfilled his dream of becoming a car racer, establishing the Ajith Kumar Racing team. The team’s participation in international racing championships and subsequent victories underscored Ajith Kumar’s dedication to the sport, with him actively competing alongside his team members.
