Actor Akshay Kumar had a surprise cricket moment while filming “Bhooth Bangla” as former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan visited the set and bowled him out during a friendly match. Shikhar’s entry was captured in a video shared by Balaji Telefilms, where he posed with Akshay and director Priyadarshan.
During the friendly cricket match on set, Shikhar took the crease first, and Akshay later batted, scoring a few runs before being bowled out by Shikhar. The video was captioned with well-wishes for Team India and announced the film’s release date as April 10, 2026.
“Bhooth Bangla,” directed by Priyadarshan, features Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, and Mithila Palkar in key roles. The horror comedy is a collaboration between Balaji Telefilms, Cape of Good Films, and co-producers Faara Sheikh and Vedant Baali.
The film, a second Hindi-language horror comedy by Priyadarshan after “Bhool Bhulaiyaa,” boasts a stellar cast and a storyline crafted by Akash A Kaushik. With a screenplay by Rohan Shankar, Abilash Nair, and Priyadarshan, “Bhooth Bangla” is set for a theatrical release on April 10.
