A Delhi court has remanded Al-Falah University’s chairman, Jawad Ahmad Siddiqui, to three days’ custody of the anti-terror Special Cell of Delhi Police. Siddiqui was arrested in connection with a case linked to the November 10, 2025, car blast near Red Fort. The police sought permission to interrogate Siddiqui in custody regarding a terror module of doctors at the university campus in Faridabad.
Just before his arrest, Siddiqui was in judicial custody for a money laundering case and illegal acquisition of Rs 45 crore worth of land. An investigation into the blast, involving an SIT with NIA participation, revealed connections between doctors at Al-Falah and a larger terror network, allegedly involving Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind.
Authorities suspected that the 76-acre campus in Dhouj was potentially used for meetings and storing explosives. The Enforcement Directorate recently attached movable and immovable properties valued at Rs 39.45 crore belonging to Al-Falah Charitable Trust and Siddiqui. The investigation against Siddiqui under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act stemmed from cheating and forgery FIRs filed by the Delhi Police.
