Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt brought a touch of Indian culture to the 79th British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) while presenting the award for Best Film Not in the English Language. At the event in London, she greeted the audience with a “Namaskar” before explaining in Hindi that the upcoming award was for a non-English language film. Alia highlighted the universal language of cinema and announced the nominated films.
Ahead of presenting the award, Alia shared about her daughter Raha’s influence on her life, expressing how her daughter inspires her. Alia was part of a lineup of presenters that included renowned names like Bryan Cranston, Kate Hudson, and Riz Ahmed. The Manipuri-language film “Boong,” supported by Farhan Akhtar, secured the Best Children’s & Family Film award.
Alia’s upcoming projects include the film “Alpha,” where she stars alongside Sharvari, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol. Additionally, she is currently filming “Love And War” with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
