The actress detailed that the unauthorized recording occurred on the tournament’s second day. The perpetrator, unknown to her, later shared the video and images on her Instagram and with a close friend, demanding a ransom to prevent public dissemination.
The accused, using the Instagram handle ‘Swan.3704722’, threatened to release the footage on social media if the actress did not comply with the extortion demands. Law enforcement has initiated an investigation under relevant laws, including the Information Technology Act and sections related to voyeurism, extortion, and criminal intimidation.
