Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised the all-women mountaineering team of the Border Security Force (BSF) for making history by successfully summiting Mount Everest. Shah commended the team for their exceptional courage and determination during the BSF’s Diamond Jubilee year celebrations. The team’s achievement was highlighted for conquering the world’s highest peak and displaying patriotism and dedication.
Amit Shah took to social media to express his admiration, stating, “Nari Shakti proves BSF’s invincible might.” He congratulated the team for their historic feat and saluted their grit. The Home Minister also shared the BSF’s post on the successful expedition, acknowledging the team’s remarkable accomplishment.
The BSF announced the success of its first-ever all-women Mount Everest Expedition Team under Mission Vande Mataram. The team, including members like Constable Kouser Fatima and Constable Munmun Ghosh, reached the summit of Mount Everest, standing at 8,848.86 meters, around 8 a.m. (IST). The force emphasized the team’s display of strength and resilience by singing Vande Mataram at the peak, symbolizing the spirit of Nari Shakti.
The Border Security Force, established on December 1, 1965, after the India-Pakistan war, plays a crucial role in safeguarding India’s borders. Recognized as the country’s ‘First Line of Defence,’ the force’s all-women team’s achievement signifies empowerment, national pride, and commitment to excellence.
