Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah accused the Congress party of neglecting farmers’ issues and questioned Rahul Gandhi on the number of farmers’ loans waived during their 10-year rule, amounting to around Rs 60,000 crore. Shah highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s move to exempt income tax worth Rs 46,000 crore for sugarcane factories, benefiting sugarcane farmers.
He emphasized that PM Modi has transferred Rs 4.28 lakh crore to farmers’ bank accounts over 12 years through 22 installments, urging the public to support a government that prioritizes their welfare. Shah mentioned initiatives such as establishing multi-feed plants and reducing GST on ethanol from 28% to 5%.
Furthermore, Shah disclosed plans for a cooperative plant in western Maharashtra costing Rs 1,500 crore to assist sugar mills in setting up ethanol plants. He praised PM Modi for his focus on cooperatives and space achievements, projecting a vision of a fully developed India by 2047 under BJP’s leadership.
Shah commended PM Modi’s tenure, highlighting advancements in various sectors including agriculture, science, and security. He credited Modi for responding decisively to terrorism through actions like Surgical Strikes, Air Strikes, and Operation Sindoor inside Pakistan. Shah also noted the eradication of Naxalism and the establishment of peace across different regions of India.
