Union Home Minister Amit Shah attended the Tamil Nadu BJP’s ‘Modi Pongal’ event in Tiruchirappalli, embracing the harvest festival alongside party members. The celebration, themed “Namma Ooru Modi Pongal Vizha,” aimed to integrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Tamil cultural customs. The event attracted over 2,000 participants, with women partaking in Pongal traditions using 1,008 earthen pots as part of the festivities. Shah’s visit included temple tours in Tiruchirappalli district, where he interacted with devotees and BJP leaders.
