Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to speak at four public rallies in West Bengal on Wednesday, coinciding with the Bengali New Year’s Day. The rallies will kick off at Lobong Ground in Darjeeling district at 11:30 a.m., followed by events in Rajganj, Falakata, and Tufanganj.
Just before Shah’s scheduled rally in Falakata, the BJP candidate and current legislator from the area was reportedly attacked by Trinamool Congress activists, including the chief of the local panchayat and his associates.
While West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will not hold any public meetings on Wednesday, she plans to conduct roadshows in Siliguri and Mal. Additionally, Trinamool Congress leader Abhishek Banerjee will lead an organizational meeting in Diamond Harbour.
