Union Home Minister Amit Shah pledged that if the BJP wins in West Bengal after the upcoming state elections, the focus of the new government will be to rejuvenate heavy industries in the state. Addressing a campaign rally in Baghmundi, Shah highlighted the need to prevent West Bengal’s youth from seeking jobs in other states due to the closure of over 7,000 factories in the past 15 years.
Shah emphasized the plan to revive West Bengal’s industrial sector and transform it into a hub for heavy industries, aiming to provide employment opportunities locally. Additionally, he promised a monthly unemployment allowance of Rs 3,000 for unemployed youths until the industrial sector is revitalized.
Furthermore, Shah underscored the importance of securing the state’s international borders to curb illegal infiltration. He mentioned the BJP’s commitment to providing land to the Border Security Force within 45 days of forming the new government to enhance border security and prevent unauthorized entries.
Shah also criticized Mamata Banerjee’s governance, accusing her of grooming her nephew, Abhishek Banerjee, as her successor. He confidently stated that Banerjee’s aspirations would not materialize, asserting that the era of the Trinamool Congress is coming to an end.
