Captain Shreyas Iyer’s unbeaten 69, along with quick half-centuries from Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh, helped Punjab Kings secure a victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad by chasing down 220 runs in just 18.5 overs. This win keeps Punjab Kings undefeated this season, accumulating seven points from four matches, including one abandoned due to rain against Kolkata Knight Riders.

The Punjab Kings started their chase strongly, with openers Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh aggressively taking on the Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers. Priyansh reached his fifty in just 16 balls, the second-fastest for Punjab Kings, while Prabhsimran also contributed significantly as they reached 93/0 at the end of the Power-play.

Despite losing Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh, Punjab Kings remained in a strong position at 124/2 after 10 overs. Captain Shreyas Iyer’s unbeaten 69, supported by Nehal Wadhera and Shashank Singh, guided Punjab Kings to victory with seven balls to spare and six wickets in hand. Shivang Kumar stood out for Sunrisers Hyderabad with figures of 3/33 in four overs.

Shivang Kumar was the standout bowler for Sunrisers Hyderabad, taking three wickets for 33 runs in four overs, while Harsh Dubey chipped in with one wicket. Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad made a strong start with openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head, but Punjab Kings fought back, restricting them to 219/6 in 20 overs. Punjab Kings’ bowlers, especially Shashank Singh and Arshdeep Singh, played crucial roles in limiting Sunrisers Hyderabad’s total.
