Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Chhattisgarh to a warm welcome at Raipur Airport for a crucial three-day visit. Party workers showed great enthusiasm for his presence in the state, where he was greeted by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Deputy Chief Ministers Vijay Sharma and Arun Sao, Finance Minister OP Choudhary, and other senior officials.
This visit holds immense importance for the state’s progress and peace in the Bastar region. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai highlighted the visit’s significance, noting the strides Chhattisgarh is making with Central government support towards peace, good governance, and development.
Under Amit Shah’s guidance and the government’s efforts, Naxalism in Bastar has significantly decreased, paving the way for new development opportunities. The Home Minister is scheduled to launch vehicles for the Dial-112 emergency service in Raipur on May 18, aiming to enhance emergency assistance and bolster law enforcement in the state.
Shah will then head to Bastar for various development and security-focused programs, aligning with the goal of making Bastar a Naxal-free zone. The visit will conclude on May 19 with a Central Zonal Council meeting in Bastar, attended by Chief Ministers from Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, focusing on security, development, and inter-state coordination.
The state government anticipates that this visit will inject fresh impetus into development and security initiatives across Chhattisgarh.
