Currently, Bachchan is involved in the sequel of the film “Kalki 2898 AD” alongside renowned actors like Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani.
The first installment of the movie is set in a futuristic world in the year 2898 AD, focusing on a mission to safeguard lab subject SUM-80’s unborn child, believed to be the final incarnation of Vishnu, known as Kalki. Bachchan recently mentioned spending time watching a World War 2 documentary narrated by Tom Hanks, reflecting on the devastating consequences of war and the loss of innocent lives due to conflicts driven by ego and power struggles.
Reflecting on the horrors of war, Bachchan highlighted the immense human tragedy and suffering caused by conflicts like World War 2. He underscored the futility of war, emphasizing the destruction of cities, displacement of populations, and the erasure of entire communities. Despite acknowledging the necessity of some conflicts, Bachchan stressed that war is never glorious, especially when viewed from the perspective of those directly impacted by its consequences.
